These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of the OmniTimer mobile application (the "App"), developed and operated by Arcanum Labs ("we," "us," or "our"). By downloading, installing, or using the App, you agree to be bound by these Terms.

1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using OmniTimer, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these Terms and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree to these Terms, you must not use the App.

1.1 Age Restrictions

You must be at least 13 years old to use OmniTimer. If you are between 13 and 18 years old (or the age of majority in your jurisdiction), you must have your parent or legal guardian's permission to use the App.

2. License and Usage

2.1 License Grant

Subject to your compliance with these Terms, we grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to:

• Download and install the App on devices you own or control
• Access and use the App's features for personal, non-commercial purposes

2.2 License Restrictions

You agree NOT to:

• Copy, modify, adapt, translate, or create derivative works of the App
• Reverse engineer, decompile, disassemble, or attempt to discover the source code
• Rent, lease, sell, sublicense, distribute, or transfer the App to third parties
• Remove, alter, or obscure any copyright, trademark, or proprietary notices
• Use the App for any illegal, harmful, or unauthorized purposes
• Circumvent or disable any security features or usage restrictions
• Attempt to interfere with or disrupt the integrity or performance of the App or its third-party services
• Use automated scripts, bots, or other means to interact with the App in an unauthorized manner

3. App Features and Tiers

3.1 Free Version

The free version of OmniTimer includes:

• Core interval timer functionality with up to 5 custom presets
• Timer execution with pause, resume, stop, and restart
• Configurable intervals with names, durations, and sounds
• Session history tracking (elapsed time, pause count, intervals completed/skipped)
• Statistics dashboard with completion rates and trends
• Customizable settings (theme, font, accessibility, timer behavior, notifications)
• Local notifications for interval changes and timer completion
• Text-to-speech countdown announcements
• Background timer execution (with persistent notification)
• Advertisements displayed via Google AdMob- AI preset generation (usage subject to API key availability — on-device models are free; cloud backends require user-provided API keys)
• Training programs (Couch to 5K, Bridge to 10K, Tabata Challenge, HIIT Starter, and more — all included)
• Preset Marketplace with 30+ curated presets

3.2 OmniTimer Pro Subscription

OmniTimer Pro removes limitations of the free tier and includes:

• Ad-Free Experience: Complete removal of all advertisements
• Unlimited Presets: Create unlimited custom timer presets (free tier limited to 5)
• CSV Export: Export session history with custom field selection
• Share Presets: Export and share timer preset configurations (Base64-encoded format)
• Custom Sounds: Upload and use custom audio files for intervals
• Lifetime Feature Updates: Access to all future Pro features automatically

3.3 Subscription Tiers

OmniTimer Pro is available as:

• 1-Month Subscription: Recurring monthly payment
• 12-Month Subscription: Recurring annual payment (discounted)
• Lifetime Purchase: One-time payment for permanent access

Pricing is displayed in the App's paywall screen and may vary by region and currency.

3.4 Payment and Billing

• Payments are processed through the Google Play Store
• Subscription management, including billing, is handled entirely by the respective app store
• You will be charged at the beginning of each subscription period
• Subscriptions automatically renew unless auto-renewal is disabled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period
• You can manage subscriptions and disable auto-renewal in your device's app store account settings

3.5 Device-Specific Purchases

Important: Purchases made through OmniTimer are tied to your Google Play Store account.

• Purchases can be restored on the same device or other devices using the same app store account via the "Restore Purchases" feature in the App

4. Advertisements

4.1 Ad-Supported Free Version

The free version of OmniTimer is supported by advertisements provided by Google AdMob. By using the free version, you agree to:

• View advertisements (interstitial and banner ads) during App usage
• Allow Google AdMob to collect data as described in our Privacy Policy

4.2 GDPR Consent

Where required by law (e.g., in the European Economic Area), OmniTimer will present a consent form via the Google User Messaging Platform (UMP) SDK before serving personalized advertisements. You may update your consent preferences at any time through the Privacy Options in the App.

5. Data and Privacy

5.1 Local Data

All timer presets, session history, and settings are stored locally on your device. You are responsible for backing up your data. We are not responsible for data loss due to device failure, app uninstallation, or other causes.

5.2 Data Export and Sharing

• Session data can be exported to CSV files (Pro feature)
• Timer presets can be shared in an encoded format
• Exported/shared data is processed locally on your device and shared via the system share sheet — it is never uploaded to our servers

5.3 Analytics and Crash Reporting

The App uses Firebase Analytics and Firebase Crashlytics as described in our Privacy Policy. You can disable analytics collection in Settings → Data & Privacy.

6. Background Execution

OmniTimer may run in the background to continue timer execution. On Android, this uses a foreground service with a persistent notification ("Timer running in background"). This feature:

• Requires the FOREGROUND_SERVICE permission
• Displays a visible notification while active
• Can be stopped by stopping the timer or force-closing the App
• May consume additional battery while active

7. Third-Party Services

OmniTimer integrates third-party services that are subject to their own terms:

We are not responsible for the practices or content of these third-party services.

8. Intellectual Property

8.1 Ownership

The App, including its design, code, graphics, audio, and content, is owned by Arcanum Labs and is protected by copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws.

8.2 User Content

Timer presets, session data, and configurations you create within the App remain your property. By sharing presets, you grant recipients a non-exclusive license to use those preset configurations within OmniTimer.

9. Disclaimer of Warranties

THE APP IS PROVIDED ON AN "AS-IS" AND "AS-AVAILABLE" BASIS WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT.

We do not guarantee that:

• The App will be uninterrupted, error-free, or secure
• Timer accuracy will meet your specific requirements
• The App will be compatible with all devices or operating system versions
• Any defects will be corrected in a timely manner

10. Limitation of Liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, ARCANUM LABS SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES ARISING FROM OR RELATED TO YOUR USE OF THE APP, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO:

• Loss of data, revenue, or profits
• Missed timer intervals or inaccurate timing
• Interruption of workouts, training, or other activities
• Device battery drain from background execution

IN NO EVENT SHALL OUR TOTAL LIABILITY EXCEED THE AMOUNT YOU PAID TO US IN THE TWELVE (12) MONTHS PRECEDING THE EVENT GIVING RISE TO THE CLAIM, OR $50 USD, WHICHEVER IS GREATER.

11. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless Arcanum Labs from any claims, damages, losses, liabilities, and expenses (including reasonable attorney's fees) arising from your use of the App or violation of these Terms.

12. Termination

12.1 By You

You may stop using the App at any time by uninstalling it from your device. To cancel a Pro subscription, use your app store account settings.

12.2 By Us

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your access to the App immediately, without prior notice, for any violation of these Terms or for any other reason at our sole discretion.

12.3 Effect of Termination

Upon termination, your license to use the App is revoked. All local data will remain on your device until you uninstall the App.

13. Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the jurisdiction in which Arcanum Labs operates, without regard to conflict of law principles.

14. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. We will notify you of material changes by:

• Updating the "Last Updated" date at the top of these Terms
• Posting the updated Terms at https://arcanumlabs.app/projects/omnitimer/legal/terms

Your continued use of the App after changes are posted constitutes your acceptance of the updated Terms.

15. Severability

If any provision of these Terms is found to be unenforceable or invalid, that provision shall be limited or eliminated to the minimum extent necessary, and the remaining provisions shall remain in full force and effect.

17. Acknowledgment

BY USING OMNITIMER, YOU ACKNOWLEDGE THAT YOU HAVE READ THESE TERMS, UNDERSTAND THEM, AND AGREE TO BE BOUND BY THEM. IF YOU DO NOT AGREE TO THESE TERMS, YOU MUST NOT USE THE APP.
