This Refund Policy applies to all purchases made through the OmniTimer mobile application ("App"), including subscriptions and one-time purchases for OmniTimer Pro. This policy is operated by Arcanum Labs ("we," "us," or "our").

1. Overview

OmniTimer offers a free version with advertisements and a premium tier called "OmniTimer Pro" with the following pricing options:

  • 1-Month Subscription: Recurring monthly payment
  • 12-Month Subscription: Recurring annual payment (discounted)
  • Lifetime Purchase: One-time payment for permanent access

Pricing is displayed in the App's paywall screen and may vary by region and currency. All purchases are processed through the Google Play Store. Refund requests are subject to Google Play's refund policies in addition to this policy.

2. Refund Eligibility

2.1 Google Play Store

You may request a refund within 48 hours of purchase if you are dissatisfied with OmniTimer Pro features:

  1. Open the Google Play Store app
  2. Tap Menu → Subscriptions
  3. Select OmniTimer
  4. Tap "Request a refund"

Alternatively, visit https://play.google.com/store/account/orderhistory to manage your orders.

Please include:

  • Order ID / Transaction ID
  • Purchase date
  • Device platform (Android)
  • Email associated with your app store account
  • Detailed reason for the refund request

We will review your request within 5–7 business days and respond with a decision. If approved, refunds will be processed through the original payment method via the respective app store.

3. Valid Reasons for Refund

3.1 Technical Issues

  • App Crashes: Consistent crashes or failure to launch despite troubleshooting (clearing cache, reinstalling)
  • Feature Malfunction: Advertised Pro features not working as described (e.g., ads still showing, CSV export failing, preset limit not removed)
  • Compatibility Issues: App incompatible with your device despite meeting the stated minimum requirements

3.2 Billing Errors

  • Duplicate Charges: Multiple charges for the same subscription period
  • Unauthorized Charges: Charges made without your authorization
  • Incorrect Pricing: Charged a different amount from the price displayed at time of purchase

3.3 Accidental Purchase

  • Unintentional Purchase: Purchase made by mistake (must be reported within 48 hours)
  • Child Purchase: Unauthorized purchase by a minor without parental consent

4. Non-Refundable Situations

Refunds will NOT be granted in the following situations:

4.1 Change of Mind

  • Changed your mind after using Pro features for an extended period
  • Found a similar app you prefer after purchasing
  • No longer need a timer app

4.2 Subscription Renewals

  • Automatic renewals because you forgot to cancel (unless reported within 48 hours of the renewal charge)
  • Failed to cancel before the renewal date

Important: It is your responsibility to manage subscription renewals through your app store account settings. We recommend setting a reminder before your renewal date if you intend to cancel.

4.3 Platform and Account Changes

  • Changed devices and purchases are not transferring (use "Restore Purchases" in the App first)
  • Purchases are tied to your Google Play Store account
  • Created a new app store account and cannot access previous purchases

4.4 Free Feature Availability

  • Features available in the free tier not meeting expectations (free features are provided as-is)
  • Dissatisfaction with ad frequency or ad content in the free version

5. Subscription Cancellation

Important: Canceling your subscription is NOT the same as requesting a refund.

How to Cancel

Google Play:

  1. Open the Google Play Store app
  2. Tap Menu → Subscriptions
  3. Select OmniTimer
  4. Tap "Cancel subscription"
  1. Open Settings on your device
  2. Tap your name → Subscriptions
  3. Select OmniTimer
  4. Tap "Cancel Subscription"

You will retain Pro features until the end of the current billing period after cancellation.

6. Lifetime Purchase Refunds

The Lifetime Purchase is a one-time payment granting permanent access to OmniTimer Pro features.

  • Within 48 hours (Google Play): Standard refund window applies

After the initial refund window, refunds for Lifetime Purchases are rarely granted except for:

  • Significant, reproducible technical issues that prevent use of Pro features
  • Billing errors (duplicate charge, unauthorized purchase)

7. Restore Purchases

Before requesting a refund due to missing Pro features, please try restoring your purchase:

  1. Open OmniTimer
  2. Navigate to the Paywall / Pro screen
  3. Tap "Restore Purchases"

This will check your app store account for existing purchases and re-activate Pro features. This resolves most cases of "missing" Pro access after reinstalling the App or switching devices within the same platform.

8. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Refund Policy from time to time. Changes will be reflected by updating the "Last Updated" date at the top of this document and posting the updated policy at https://arcanumlabs.app/projects/omnitimer/legal/refund.
